Horse Study n.02 - Unframed Original

"Horse Study n.02" (2025) is an original work by Carla Nicieza.

These series are inspired by the Year of the Horse, recent trips to Asia, and my childhood memories of growing up in the countryside, surrounded by these beautiful animals. Other natural motifs often find their way into the paintings too, like hydrangeas.

The horse is a new element in my work - full of movement and energy – and I absolutely love drawing it. I have a feeling it might be here to stay.

Created with ink and pastels on cotton paper.
