N.S PROJECTS - VILLA SALVE

Creating the Visual Identity for Villa Salve: A Journey of Inspiration and Connection.

I recently had the pleasure of working on the visual identity for a truly special place in Puglia—Villa Salve. From the moment I learned about this stunning villa, nestled in the heart of the Puglian countryside, I knew the project would be something aligned with Nicieza Studios.

Villa Salve is more than just a beautiful retreat; it’s a space that reflects centuries of history, culture, and the natural beauty of its surroundings. As I set out to create its visual identity, I found endless inspiration in every element of the villa and the landscape around it. The weathered stone facade, the ancient olive and almond groves, and the simple elegance of Puglian architecture all became part of the design process.

I wanted the graphics and logo to reflect this harmony between tradition and modern comfort, much like the villa itself. Every detail—from the warm tones to the organic shapes—was a tribute to the textures and colors of the villa’s environment. The design not only captured the essence of Villa Salve but also celebrated the unique beauty of its location.

What made this project even more special was the opportunity to see the designs come to life in such a meaningful way. The logo and graphics I created were hand-painted onto custom ceramic pieces commissioned specifically for Villa Salve. To know that these pieces now adorn the villa, blending the visual identity with the tactile beauty of Puglian craftsmanship, is truly rewarding.
We designed several options using symbols that represent the finca, like olive branches with their fruits and the spiral motif. Initially, the idea was to choose just one, but Valeska loved the concept of using multiple logos, and I agree. They can change and evolve over time, just as the seasons and time shape Villa Salve.

This project was about more than creating some design elements—it was about telling the story of Villa Salve and the surrounding landscape through design. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of this journey, and I hope that the visual identity captures the warmth, serenity, and timeless beauty of this remarkable place.
