A Curated Guide to Mallorca
After much anticipation, the Mallorca travel guide has finally arrived. This incredible island has been my home for nearly a decade, and over the years I’ve curated a collection of my favourite spots and hidden gems that I’ve come to love and feel inspired by.
I find so much beauty here that it has taken me time to narrow it down to a shortlist. It’s a place truly close to my heart, and I feel its magic never fades. I can genuinely see myself growing old and building a family here.

I love the Mediterranean Sea, the architecture of Palma’s old town, the villages along the Tramuntana coast, and of course, the incredible food and sunlight.
Here are all the places I return to time and time again.
WHERE TO EAT (IN THE CITY)
Bar La Sang
La Rosa Vermutería
Vermutería San Jaime
Mercat de l’Olivar
Brutus
Bar Bellver
Burgundi
Spot
Bar Isleño

Starting strong with food, these are some of my top spots around town for lunch or dinner. I love sharing a few tapas with friends in a local bar or market, enjoying a llonguet at Bar Isleño, or having a glass of wine and some gildas in a candlelit setting at Bar La Sang or a vermutería on a warm evening.

WHERE TO EAT (IN THE VILLAGES)
Bar Bodega Biniaraix
Nama Deià
Patiki Beach
Blai
Ca Na Toneta
La Nouvelle Famille
Pueblo Sóller
Corel-la Café
Mercat de Tramuntana

Away from the city, these are my go-to spots for a meal. Most offer Mediterranean food with a twist, set in different corners of the island. There’s no plan I love more than walking up to Biniaraix for a bite at the bodega (check their Instagram for chefs-in-residence and pop-ups), enjoying a few small plates at La Nouvelle after the Santanyí farmers’ market, or having an early dinner at Nama with Deià as the backdrop.
COFFEE AND TREATS
Can Joan de S’Aigo
De Mönio
Wunder Workshop
La Molienda
Bacán (Port location)
Fika Farina
Rivareno
Finca Son Mico
Earth Core Matcha Bar
Fornet de Sa Soca
After lunch, it’s time for coffee or a sweet treat. These are the places I visit most often, and many of them serve speciality coffee. I highly recommend stopping by Can Joan in the old town for an ensaïmada, and skipping dessert at a restaurant to head straight to Rivareno for ice cream after dinner - it’s open late, and the square is beautiful.

WHERE TO STAY
Nobis Hotel, Palma
Hotel Corazón
Sant Francesc Hotel Singular
Son Viscos Agroturismo
The Lodge
Finca Serena
Son Xotano
Hotel Cap Rocat
Fonsanta Hotel
Es Racó d’Artà
Aethos
Grand Hotel Son Net
There are so many stunning hotels on the island. Even if you’re not staying in one of these, I love going for a meal at Hotel Corazón (the sunset from their terrace is beautiful), or having a couple of drinks at the Nobis Bar in Palma for a special evening.
ART AND CULTURE
Fundación Juan March
Fundación Bartolomé March
Fundación Miró
Kewenig Gallery
Son Marroig
Nits de l’Art
Malene Birger Art Gallery
Jardines de Alfabia
Don’t miss the art spots. Many can go unnoticed from the street, but they are all stunning inside, often with low entry prices or free admission, like Son Marroig along the Deià coast.
There are also “Nights of Art” throughout the summer in several villages. My favourites are in Palma, Valldemossa, Sóller, and S’Arracó - you can find the dates online.

EXPERIENCES
SONMO
VITI VINCI (perfume workshops)
Bodega Can Axartell
Ecovinyassa
Can Caval Blau
Ses Rotes Horses & Wine
De Haan Gallery Studio (pottery workshops)
Rapita Charter (boat rental)

There are many bodegas offering wine tastings across the island, as well as other experiences. I also leave some options for taking a pottery class, renting a beautiful boat for a day at sea, or enjoying SONMO’s olive oil tastings and workshops on their finca - No words can quite capture how special this place is (they also have a small boutique in town where you can find their produce).
WHERE TO SHOP
Arquinesia
Mimbrería Vidal
Dusty Deco Apartment (by appointment)
Cortana
Obsolete
Silk
LIVINGDREAMS (restaurant and shop)
Local markets

Before leaving the island empty-handed, here are a few places to find the perfect souvenir - like a perfume or soap from Arquinesia, with local scents like orange blossom or fig.
I also love browsing local second-hand and farmers’ markets, such as the one in Santanyí (mentioned above) or the Consell market every Sunday morning.

I hope this guide gives you a glimpse of Mallorca through my eyes. If you’d like to see more, you can save all these spots (and many more) to your Google Maps here.
With love,
Carla x
